Hush is built to protect your privacy by design. Your conversations are processed locally on your device. We don't have servers logging your questions. We can't read your messages because we never receive them.

Our Privacy Philosophy
Most AI assistants send your conversations to remote servers for processing. We believe that's a fundamental privacy problem. Hush takes a different approach:
- Local Processing: AI inference happens on your device, not our servers
- No Conversation Storage: We don't store, log, or have access to your conversations
- No Training on Your Data: Your conversations are never used to train AI models
- Privacy by Architecture: We can't access your data because it never leaves your device

Third-Party Services
Hush uses the following third-party services:
RevenueCat (Subscription Management)
RevenueCat processes subscription purchases and syncs your Pro status across devices. They receive:
- Anonymous user identifier
- Purchase receipts from Apple/Google/Stripe
- Subscription status
RevenueCat does not receive your conversations. RevenueCat Privacy Policy
Apple App Store / Google Play Store
If you subscribe through the app, your payment is processed by Apple or Google according to their privacy policies.
Stripe (Web Purchases)
If you subscribe through our website, Stripe processes your payment. They receive standard payment information (card details, billing address). Stripe Privacy Policy
How We Use Information
The limited information we collect is used only to:
- Verify your subscription status
- Sync your Pro access across devices
- Process refund requests
- Respond to support inquiries
- Improve app stability (via aggregated crash data, if opted in)
We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Data Retention
- Conversations: Never stored by us. Exist only on your device until you clear them.
- Subscription Data: Retained for the duration of your subscription plus any legally required period.
- Support Inquiries: Retained for 2 years to assist with any future issues.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request deletion of your data
- Export your data in a portable format
- Opt out of analytics (where applicable)

Children's Privacy
Hush is not intended for children under 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Security
Your conversations are secured by your device's built-in encryption. Since data never leaves your device, there are no servers to breach.
For subscription data, we rely on the security practices of our payment processors (Apple, Google, Stripe, RevenueCat), all of which maintain industry-standard security certifications.
International Users
DiscreteZero is based in the United States. If you use Hush from outside the U.S., please be aware that the minimal data we collect (subscription information) may be transferred to and processed in the United States.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by:
- Posting the new policy on this page
- Updating the "Last Updated" date
- For significant changes, notifying you in the app
